The weekend is almost over, but Saturday evening was well-spent, I must admit. So after having started on the 1st paragraph of my bio paper, Shengrong and I decided to join Xuda and Yihan downtown. They had gone shopping in the day after having worked on their econs project in the morning apparently. So we had dinner at Rockit Bar and Grill, where they have this special Rockit Burger set for $19. Now why can't they come up some more original name for their speciality? Maybe something like Rock n' Roll It Burger, Rocking It Down Burger, Rocky Burger? U get the idea, something other than Rockit Burger, when the name of the place is Rockit already. But that aside, the burger is really good. Consisting of a kobe beef patty which is really huge and juicy, topped with foie gras, and sweet and sour onions, the burger tasted really good. Not only was there quality, but there was also quantity, something that cannot be said about most places here. I also had some alcoholic chill drink called Jose Apple Pants, which is basically magaritaville mango tequilla, apple liquer, triple sec, lemonade and cranberry juice rojakked together in perfect propertions. Just so as 1st love is always best, so is the first meal of the day --- dinner is simply awesome!!!
Then we headed down to catch Mission Impossible 3.
It's always a nice token when we show our appreciation to the central core of actors. So here is a group picture of the IMF ...... just so that you know what I am referring to when I say Mission Impossible 3 ..... and not the possibility of the opposition sweeping all the parliament seats.
Now, I also like to give personal attention to aesthetic individuals ... so here is a close-up of Maggie Q.
Now, the show is really good ... much better than Mission Impossible 2. I shall not spoil it for those who have not watched it yet, by going into the storyline here .... except that you know that the good guys win in the end. So Leeds will triumph over Preston on Monday, and then probably Watford on May 21 at Cardiff. Well, the smart will just say that I am too lazy to type out the synopsis of the story, which in all likelihood is probably the unanimously correct answer.
If Xuda, Yihan, Shengrong and I were to comprise this IMF group, what could go wrong with this seemingly perfect spy team?
1) Sight of Shengrong in a stunning red dress getting out of the orange-colored lamborghini (ala Maggie Q getting out) is wrong in itself. 2) The guy operating the computer would just end up causing the computer to hang, and while rebooting, cause the guy inside the building to get killed. Sounds of "cham, die lah ... computer hang ... wat to do? No Dell warranty leh how?" 3) How can either of us sprint like Tom Cruise (even tho the video has probably been fast forwarded)? Fast forwarding us running would probably take up half the budget since you need so much manpower to continually operate the control. Either of us would rather take a taxi to chase the bad guy rather than go running and act so seh 4) None of us would bother volunteering for such a tough job in the first place. Want action, might as well go join Survivor and win a million bucks?
Ok, I am getting tired, so I shall stop for now. Back to my bio paper: "Nuclear Transport of Influenza Viral Nucleoprotein and Ribonucleoprotein Complexes".
